A truly exciting season lies ahead for Barrow TTC. The completion of three high profile signings means the team is now considered as favourites for the British League Premiership title and European table tennis a possibility for the first time in the Club’s history.

The summer signings are professional international table tennis players regarded as London 2012 Olympic hopefuls. They are:

Paul Drinkhall’s Player Profile, Britain Number 1 and Triple European Champion
Gavin Rumgay’s Player Profile, Scotland Number 1 and Triple Scottish National Champion
Darius Knight’s Player Profile, England Number 3 and Triple England National Under-21 Champion

The Barrow British League team is actively seeking sponsors ahead of next season which starts in September. A number of sponsorship opportunities exist, ranging from £50 to £2500. If you are interested, please email sponsorship@barrowtabletennisclub.co.uk for more information.

As well as playing in the British League, the squad of players and coaches will be coaching local children at the Barrow Table Tennis Centre and local schools, running training camps in northwest England and Scotland, and running “select” tournaments which bring the best players in the country together to promote the sport of table tennis in the Barrow-in-Furness area; thus inspiring the next generation of players.

Barrow will ensure that sponsors are promoted alongside the British League teams and associated with all events (described above) run by the team.
